Steriliser Buying Guide
Bottle sterilisers are essential for keeping your babies bottles, pacifiers, and other items clean and bacteria-free.
What to Consider
Most sterilisers use steam either from electricity or a microwave. Cold water sterilisers require a liquid steriliser to create a solution and can be used on the go. Ultraviolet sterilisers use higher frequency light to kill bacteria.
If you have a lot of bottles and accessories or prefer to sterilise all your bottles at once, purchase a steriliser with a larger carrying capacity
Faster sterilisers are useful when your baby gets hungry or starts to cry
Sterilization DurationIf you plan on sterilising your bottles all at once, pick a steriliser which will keep them clean for 24 hours.
Sterilisers which automatically switch off are convenient and allow you to do other things while your bottles are sterilised.

- If you purchase a microwave steam steriliser make sure it fits into your microwave
- Make sure all of your equipment has been scrubbed clean before placing it in the steriliser - otherwise it won't be effective
- Soothers (pacifiers) and all other baby equipment should be sterilised as well for at least the first 12 months
