Activities to develop physical skills in babies
While changing your baby, put them down on the bed and stretch their arms and legs gently. Make it an everyday exercise before or after changing. Talk to your baby while doing it to encourage your baby to do the movements on their own. For example, say "one stretch two stretch, three stretch four...". Early motor actions lay down the foundations for the muscle memory through which much other physical learning takes place.
