Child Developement
Activity: Super Shredder
Young children need plenty of motor activities to develop better fine motor control. An easy activity although no less effective is the simple art of tearing paper. Tearing paper is fun and oddly satisfying! While it can be messy, it is an amazing fine motor activity for children.
Tearing paper strengthens the smallest muscles of the fingers and the arms. These are important in developing skills like handwriting, colouring, managing buttons and zippers and more.

Please explain to your child that this is paper set aside for tearing and to treat all other paper and books with care.
